Not a full size kit car topic but thought this might be the best part of the forum to ask on.

I am restoring my old Toylander type miniature car for my son. I need to get a sprocket welded to each rear wheel (they are essentially wheelbarrow wheels). Additionally I will need a couple of pilot bore sprockets bored out and machined with suitable keyways for the gearbox output shaft. I'm looking for any reccomendations for anywhere that could carry out this work local to St Albans.

Sounds like a great project. As there have been no nearer suggestions I suggest

Primarily motorcycle work but also machining. Excellent work, made/assembled the below for me which sounds similar to your project.

(New shaft is supposed to have closer sprockets on the left)

Thanks for the suggestion. So far no one more local who I've spoken to has been interested so I may well end up giving him a ring.

I think it’s going to end up more expensive than you think.

You might be better off buying the parts from toylander.

I've often driven past these guys in Borehamwood and though they'd be somewhere I'd go if I need such work doing

I'd not come across Elstree Precision whilst googling, good suggestion.

Cost wise you could well be right but I thought I'd try and get some estimates as I already have the existing wheels.
