Been looking around for a dash for a project and it seems amazing what's available on Wish. But do they work well?

Appreciate the cheaper ones really suit a bike engine but could be adapted. For the Wish browsers amongst you:

From £13: https://www.wish.com/feed/tabbed_feed_latest/produ...

From £20: https://www.wish.com/feed/tabbed_feed_latest/produ...

From £30: https://www.wish.com/feed/tabbed_feed_latest/produ...

From £54: https://www.wish.com/feed/tabbed_feed_latest/produ...

From £187: https://www.wish.com/feed/tabbed_feed_latest/produ...

From: £278: https://www.wish.com/feed/tabbed_feed_latest/produ...

The £54 one looks good to me. Would these all get a BEC through IVA, for example?

I would avoid the cheap Chinese ones like the plague - I found some write ups ages ago which gave faults like "impossible to get tacho to work" "tacho doesn't have sufficient modes so reads double/half revs" "speedo accurate at 50 yet over reads by about 25% at 70mph" "won't switch from KMH to MPH" "arrived with cracked screen, seller ignored all emails" "only half of screen readable, rest is black"etc etc etc

I used to sell Acewell digital dashes some years ago, made in Taiwan rather than mainland China, exceptional build quality & fantastic after sales service. I was able to get a cracked LCD display & broken case replaced on an almost new unit (broken by dropping the bike first time out!) & a glass front screen on one of the round gauges supplied on a 5 year old unit after being broken.
I think our warranty returns on faulty units were around 0.5% & never ever a quibble about faults, just replaced FoC

I have a 7 year old 3254 in my current Furore Formula car, still works absolutely perfectly & fully weather proof

I passed the business on about 4 years back, now run by Oli Buckle, www.furoreproducts.co.uk if you tell him I sent you & deal direct rather than Ebay or website he'll be able to do you at least 5% off retail, defo worth spending a little more than brandless rubbish which probs won't work properly when you first get it & if it goes wrong then it's just tough & you won't buy better quality or cheaper for a branded dash than Acewell IMHO

i would check for similar digi-dash at aliexpress...WISH items are often of poorer quality.

in general i would not say that chinese products are always bad.

this said: where does acewell produce its products / components?

I'm struggling to get the Tacho on a cheap chinese one working. Not worth the hassle if you ask me.

I have an LD Performance dash in my Westfield.

There £150 from there website. Works from sensors or can be linked to a comparable ecu via CAN. Really easy to install and setup.
