Westfield SEIW CVH 1.6

Folks,

I've just become the owner of a Westfield SEIW (built 1997) that is running a Ford CVH 1.6 engine. The car has covered minimal miles over the last 10 years, so I'm in the process of checking it over and replacing consumables etc, ready for some summer road use.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct oil and oil filter to use? Am I correct in thinking the CVH 1.6 was the engine that was in the Ford XR2?

Yes, that's correct.

Which means that assuming the engine remains relatively standard the oil and filter recommendations for that car, or the equivalent generation Escort (Mk. 3/4) or Orion (Mk. 1-3) will be fine.
