Electric Reverse

Hello

Although not at all bothered by having electric reverse due to car size and weight which makes it no effort to push, maybe regulations or whatever at some point will ask for one so I may as well look at doing it now rather than later on

I've seen not that much info on the subject to be honest, one blog I've found mentions it but details about everything except the actual fitment and function.

Anyway.

I'm looking at using a BMW boxer engine starter motor, I'm thinking it's compact enought and beefy enough to pull a 500 kg car.

Using a pre-engaged starter, is it just a matter of fitting close to thre propshaft adapter and using a correct toothed gear ring sandwiched inbetween ?

I have a IRS chassis I was hoping to fit it at the back where space is legion.
