Hopefully just a quick question...

I own an 1967 VW Beach Buggy which is in need of an MOT. It is not MOT exempt for clarification.

It does have washer jets in the bonnet (which could easily be removed) but no washer bottle and pump. Does it need working washer jets for the MOT?

I assume it does but I live in hope that I can avoid a job!

Thanks.

Yep. It has a windscreen. I think I need to get it done. Shame as I have enough to do! Cheers.

The ability to see through the windscreen is vastly overrated. laugh

You don’t need a windscreen (or aeroscreen) to pass MOT, so could you take windscreen off before you present for the test?

Remove a windscreen to avoid fitting a washer bottle?

Quicker and easier on a buggy than finding a pump, power source and somewhere to fit it, I would guess

It is very quick to take the windscreen out. Maybe 30 seconds!! However, I'll get on and fit it. I'm just being lazy as I have a 101 other jobs to do on it.

I already have that exact washer bottle sat in the garage waiting to be fitted. It's just a little challenging to find room for it.

Thanks all.
