Not sure where to park this Q but how do I find out how many of these were produced?
(For qualifying as a road going "production" car it needs to be 1000)

I doubt very much that it is anywhere near as many as 500

Have you tried asking the GTM Owners' Club?

They will probably have the best idea. Would agree though, it's unlikely to be anywhere near 1000!

Did a bit of Googling before posting but there was nothing definitive that I could find as they were listing various variations differently.
Thanks for the advice

I'm not sure what events / championships you are considering but sometimes it is 1000 in a year, not just a 1000 in total.

This rule is generally deliberately designed to avoid kit and other "specialist" cars.

by a quirk of fate, I bought a K3 at the weekend and I'm currently looking it to that very question. The GTM story is an interesting one, they're now owned by Westfield though not currently making cars, or supplying parts (as far as I can tell).

Picking mine up at the weekend, they're as cheap as chips and a funky little thing.

Good luck, seemed an absolute bargain but I need something for roadgoing hillclimb class 1A (prod cars) so need 1000 made or could have gone for kits up to 1700cc (Class 2A) but against mad Caterhams.......so not a good idea.

Yes, I thought it a bargain too. The seller was the original builder (1995) and has all the original receipts. Mechanically its bob on, just the odd scuff here and there. Plus with the 1.4 engine the insurance is dirt cheap as well. I just wanted a cheapie to introduce my daughter to the kit car world - and keep her out of the challenger smile
