CSCC Magnificent 7s Race Series - 2019
Discussion
For those that are interested in racing "7 Type" cars (not just Caterhams but Westfields, Locost, Dax Rush etc etc) the calendar for the 2019 CSCC "Magnificent 7s" series is here:
https://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/race-calend...
Highlights are the annual trip to Spa, a meeting at Dijon-Prenois, televised races and night races at Donington Park, a double header weekend at Anglesey, a meeting at Thruxton and a very rare race on the Brands Hatch GP circuit.
40 minute races for 1 or 2 drivers (with a compulsory 1 min pit stop). 30 min qualifying
The series is open to all "7 Type" cars in 8 Classes. Effectively there are 3 different races in the one grid as "Group 1" cars (Classes A (upto 125 Bhp), B (126-140 Bhp) and C (141-152 Bhp)); Group B Cars (Classes D - 153 to 185bhp, E - 186 to 210 Bhp, F - 211 to 230 bhp, G - 231 to 260 bhp and H 26 Bhp +) and Group C (Motorbike engine cars race for their own overall trophies/ garlands and podiums with individual class prizes too.
2018 has seen really good grids but it would be good to see some newcomers, and different types of car out in 2019.
2018 was my first foray in to the world of "7" racing and I really enjoyed the camaraderie and the good driving standards.
Racers in Magnificent 7s can also enter a second "Open Series" race if they wish at a discounted rate, so potential for loads of track time over a weekend.
If anyone wants any more info, please PM me, contact the CSCC Office, or have a look at the CSCC Magnificent 7 FB page
