Stoneleigh has been the only (but great) option for the past few years, but that looks like it's about to change -

Looks great. Close by for me and the option for lots of live action.

I have two reservations.
1- its quite close timing to stoneleigh (5/6wks), cant help but think August may be better spacing?
2- geographically its quite close location too

Having said that, stafford and Newark are also within an hourish of stoneleigh too...

Hopefully it'll be a good event, I'll certainly be going so long as it doesn't coincide with Flywheel at Bicester!

Hopefully it will do well. Maintain the chilled and friendly atmosphere of Stoneleigh but with the added track action up the strip should make it popular enough one would hope.

Hopefully the manufacturers and traders will be on ball and help with a good turn out as well as the usual club attendance.

good luck to the organisers smile we need another show!

for owners i think in time it'll surpass Stoneleigh. While Stoney is good, it is a bit of a static event. both in terms of its being a static show and the fact it doesnt really change year to year! some "track action" should serve it well. I know castle combe or thruxton tried it last year or so, but they are pretty remote from the majority of the country. Santa pod being pretty central means i think it could work well.

for manufacturers though, i still dont think it is going to pull them in more as a trade show. ...cos it's still trying to sell to existing owners. Trade show needs to capture a new audience completely, so i fear it'll be the usual suspects with many notable absences.

see you at santa pod in June smile

Camping is included within multi-day admission tickets, NOT single day tickets. e.g. Sat/Sun ticket = camping Sat night

i know the guy organising this with SantaPod. He's an enthusiast trying to do the best he can for kit cars, so the organisation of websites etc might be a bit "amateur" but he knows what he wants and he's working with the santapod guys to cover the more formal aspects (tickets, campsites etc)

It's his first time organising an event that isnt a drive/weekend away so bear with him a bit, people don't become event experts overnight, and he's doing it in his spare time, he's not an event business trying to make a profit

There used to be a nice kit car show near Macclesfield (Capesthorne) that had a mix of kit cars and regular classics. I only went to this once in 2004, and as far as I'm aware they longer cater for kit cars only classics. There were a large variety of kits I remember seeing: Challenger E-Type, XK140 replica, Porsche Speedster, as well as the usual Caterham/Lotus 7 replicas. No idea if it was an annual event rather than a one off.

Why not put ANY relevant info on the website?
This show doesn't deserve to succeed.

Entry for kit car occupants won't be free, for sure.
- and I think that's the right thing to do.

Not sure what website you are looking at as there seems to be plenty of info on the one I linked you to above.
