Formula style kit car. Know of any brands?
Discussion
To the best of my knowledge the Furore is the only Formula style road legal car still manufactured. It's also the only 2 seat version other than the Brooke (no longer produced I believe & obviously from a much earlier style era) - though looks like a single seater unless you remove the front part of the "airbox"
If the comment re "can you really build one for 10 grand" was aimed at the Furore the answer is yes, but only if you are supplying a fair chunk of parts second hand & doing all the work yourself.
To be realistic a nicely specced car with many parts new & a ZZR1400 engine (0 - 60 around 3 & 1/2 secs) can be built for around £16 - £18k (again assuming you are doing the building yourself)
Totally coincidentally I've just put a link to a build diary I did last year, which shows how the car is engineered & how it all goes together - see build diaries top of the page
