Assuming widebody chassis and lowered floor and whatver seats are required, is it possbile to match the amount of cabin space in a Westfield when compared to a Caterham SV with lowered floors and leather seats ?

I have no idea.
I will say though that a wide body and lower floor gives plenty of space for me at 15 stone and 6 feet 3, with 33 inch inside leg measurement.

Ludicrously overpriced Westfield seats.

However they are also very comfortable and supported me for a 300 mile trip without any problems.

Should also say having the right steering wheel makes a huge difference. I have a removable one with a flat bottom. Gives a good few inches extra clearance and makes getting in and out a doddle

Im 6ft5 and test drove a Westfield wide body.

It didnt have the lowered floor, it had a standard westfield steering wheel and westfield standard seats (mounted on runners) right back and the column was about half way in its adjustment range (there were a few spacers that could be removed).

It was just about bearable, but I couldnt get my hands all the way round the wheel because my knees were so close. with a different seat mounted directly to a lowered floor, steering wheel change and column height adjusted I'm absolutely sure it would have been grand.

In the end it didn't quite feel special enough, so I'm building something completely different.
