Not if you buy a decent quality one. I have a full cover for my Westfield from Hamilton Classics - in 15 months it has not damaged the paint and has kept the car completely watertightAndy665 said:

I'm not convinced by even the properly tailored covers for regular use. IMO you will eventually notice the car picking up swirl marks, especially if you put the cover on when the car hasn't just been washed..OP, would one of these carcoon things be practical for where you're parking?
