Just had this little beaut delivered the weekend, very impressed with the service Blackwell give and the finish of the car, everything works as the OEM one did and looks as it should do. Can't wait to get the V6 project going and get to some shows this year.

Wayne cut up a Sagris body shell and moulded it to work with the MX5, with changing things to how he liked it, the proportions work really well. I'd like to see more on the road, which is just time now, as somebody is building one locally to me.

i like these. when he chopped up the sagaris it lost a lot of its character and started to look a little bland, but the finished article somehow got itself back on track and it looks really exotic again. a great rebody.

But you said V6 - you meant V8 wink

(...and put a bigger ducktail spoiler on it!)

Yeah I think it was the blood, sweat and tears than went in to it.

I know, I did think about the V8 but Claire does a really good conversion kit for the KL engine and its fairly straight forward and it does sound amazing on throttle bodies smile

I'm not sure what to do with the back if anything really, would just like to put my own touch to it, I did look at the TVR spoiler, need to get somebody on Photoshop to try a few things, think a diffuser would look good, its tricky as I like it as it is.

each to their own of course, but to me the back looks too "normal" so it needs something that stands out. a big ducktail is better than the TVR spoiler (cos then you'd look like you wanted a sagaris but were too poor), it'd fit in well with the styling rather than being an add-on. But to be honest, the shape is so right it could probably get away with anything and still look the nutts!

what V6? How much ££? DIY or fitted?

I think it looks fantastic but it is let down by the line by the screen. Apparently if that was not there the base vehicles flexes and cracks the roof where it joins.

It is just a small thing which most people would miss, but I would have to find a way of stiffening it so the roof could be smooth

Contact these guys for costs on the conversion https://www.facebook.com/crapengineering/, once mine is finished I'll out some pictures up.

I know what you mean about the roof gap, but I had a Tribute 250 last that was braced and filled and it always cracked, what every I tried, I was going to wrap the roof, but ended up selling the car. So Its a point I liked about it and I'm changing it to the targa so it suits me even more
