I collected my rollcage for the R6 I've been building. I must say, I am very pleased with it. Fitting took about 3-hours and I think it looks mighty fine ......

I agree it looks great... you can just tell its begging for the track.

A very wise investment if the car is going on the track, but I can't concur with it looking good. A full cage ruins the looks of any '7' IMO.

Kinda depends on how fast the tyre wall is heading your way

I do agree though, it makes the car look much bigger. Looses all that quaintness! For a full on track car though sacrifices have to me made.

That should stop the other cars trying to climb in with you.

I think it looks just great.

That roll cage is a must.
I did consider building a 7, but the lack of side protection put me off.

So I went for an Ultima instead. Loads on them!

I've been there done that Gaz. The cost of hard circuit work put me off using it in anger! Tyres, brakes bushes etc. This is just for ragging.

I think the R6 looks better with a full cage. Its also quicker despite the extra weight (about 28kg) due to stiffening up the chassis.

Looks the mutts Paul

Jenny

p.s. Fuel filler wont pass MSA regs if you decide to race – needs to be on the top.

Thanks J! I have no intentions of racing it. It was built purely as a track weapon.
