Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone else has a Fiorano T48,
I completed one about a year ago and not really seen any out and about at the shows at all.
I saw a half finished one at a meet near pershore and I know of a guy in scotland building one, but apart from those - nothing

here's mine -

Hi Paul! "Complete" you say? What about a steering wheel?
And stating that any kit is "complete" is a brave statement. I've had mine on the road for 15 years and it's still an ongoing project!
I've seen a few Fioranos at Stoneleigh and elsewhere in the past but not many.
I like them. Especially with a big wooden rim Bluemels wheel and some period looking clocks.
If I had one I would fit bigger headlamps and an external handbrake lever. And Brooklands exhaust.
Big leather seat squab.

Thats a years worth of tinkering already!

Then a period twin cam looking engine with upfront supercharger...

Etc.

Cheers for the reply,
I do have a steering wheel - it's removable so that I can get in and out , but sometimes I forget to put it back before I take the photo wink

and yes, it's a constant work in progress as you can imagine.

Hi sorry to jump on the post. But I’m new to piston heads. How do you start your own topic/question? Thank you

Fair play to you, you got to the end! Looks like you’ve done a nice job....how long did you take, to the nearest year?

I bought it part done, the body was on the chassis but that was about it.
... It took us about 6 months from when I got it. I've just changed the nose cone too .... To my own design
.... I've put the build thread on the madaboutkitcars web forum if you want more details.
How long's yours taking? Are you stuck on something?

Well, I just read your build thread....I began mine in 2007 and the memories came flooding back! Reshaped nose, choosing the shade of red (love yours btw), seats (I used the original steel bases and modified some Austin 7 backs). Mudguards are a ball ache, the ‘proper’ wheels and tyres are different sizes to the MG ones it was rolling about on. Engine is fuel injected, so fuel system is different. Brakes need to be plumbed in. Need to find a new steering column as the original got damaged during the engine installation. Electrics, then grill, flyscreens. Gosh, it’s almost done!

Glad to hear it's almost there, I've ended up attaching the mudguards to the body not the wheels as they kept breaking off due to excessive vibration,
Keep me posted 🙂
