Sylva leader info (build manual?)
Discussion
I'm considering taking a punt on a cheap Sylva Leader as a fun way back into kit car ownership. There's a bit of info floating about but what I'd really like is a build manual - anyone happen to have scanned a copy and have a pdf floating around? I'd also like a pic of a bare chassis if anyone happens to have one. The few on the net seem to have been lost to the great photobucket purge.
From what I've read, these things are fairly universally loved by the owners. The chap selling it is a bit vague on the details. He describes it as a "crossflow pinto" engine - it's a 1.3 so I'm guessing crossflow. It has a four speed box. I'm not really that up on old Ford bits - Is this likely to be a type 3 or an MT75? I know this isn't the most powerful engine, but I'm guessing that it's still pretty good fun in a little car?

check jpsc forum or locost-builders, cathegory sylva
anyway...just to answer a few questioms:
a pinto is a pinto engine.
a crossflow is a crossflow engine...its another name for the kent-engine
technically speaking, the pinto is, like nearly all "modern" engines, also a crossflow engine (inlet on one side, exhaust on other side)
THE famous crossflow engine has the inlet on the right, exhaust left
Pinto is vice-versa
sylva leaders are technically based on vauxhall-items, so it could be theoretically also a vauxhall engine and the actual seller of the car might not be aware about it?
those cars have hardly any value, means any invest will not be really returned in a future sales.
