I need to replace the budget tyres on my Roadster with something with a bit more grip, both in the wet and dry the grip they give is not good to say the least. The problem is finding good tyres in the 185/70R13 size, it looks like Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 is the best at the moment.

What sort of Roadster is it?

You don't have a lot of choice in that size, do you? If I were in your shoes, I'd probably go for the Uniroyals too, although Kumho V70A trackday tyres are available (Demon Tweeks seem to have some) in your size.

May not be what you're looking for though!

It's a Marlin Roadster, weighs about 500kg. I'm not into track days so need a tyre that will do 6-8000 miles

You should get considerably more miles than 8000 from Rain Experts.

I had some on the front of my FWD Fiat for over 40,000.

Nice!

I'd definitely go for the Uniroyals then, unless you fancy getting some bigger wheels!!
