I went to the dettling kit car show today.

There seemed a reasonable selection of cars, manafacturers and componant sellers. While I havnt been to any other shows to compare it to it certainly seemed good.

I kept a look out for any PHers but I didnt see anything obvious. Were there any PHers there showing off their cars or wondering around?

Yes a much better show than previous years. More space obviously helped attract more Manufacturers and Suppliers. And a nice day weather wise by Detling standards. Did you notice anything erm PURPLE on the Cobra Replica Club Stand?

I cant say I can specifically remember a purple cobra but if it was there for the morning then im sure I looked at it. All the cobras I did see, looked like great quality examples and while there were many cars there that wernt really to my taste they all seemed very good.

The raw engineering stand certainly cought my eye and my fool idea of getting a motorbike has competition from a fool idea of getting a striker.

Unfortunatly my wallet is dead against both options at the moment though

Emma's hands were a bit purple after the drive down today in the Cobra. Oh - there was a fine looking Purple AK on show too

I was the fourth or fifth car in on Saturday (Tiger Super Six) and yes, it was a MUCH better show than last year including the weather. One of the guys parking after me had just driven over in a LoCost from Antwerp!! On that subject, he mentioned there was a Belgian kit car show some time in August that I fancy taking in. Anyone know anything about it? Tried various web searches to no avail.

I was at the Detling Show today. I also find it was much better than last year.
The kitcar show in Belgian that 2kwik is asking about, is the Continental Kit Car Show on Saturday & Sunday 20th - 21st August in Zandhoven nr Antwerp. I know all about is as I'm organise it
Today at the Detling Show we booked several manufacturers & traders for a stand.
We plan to make a big Kit Car event of it. Please find out more at www.kitcar.be. The site will be updated within a few days, so come visit us frequently.

I was there too. To be honest I was a bit dissappointed as there were no real surprises on show. Loads and loads of Sevens and Cobras of course but as they are 'not my thing' I resorted to pottering around the autojumble and suppliers' section for a while - but the usual suspects were there so surprises again
I did see an interesting car on the Minotaur stand though.
