LS1/6 in a lotus type?

There's quite a few manufacturers of the lotus 7 type...caterham, westfield, robinhood, dax, etc...has anyone ever fitted (or could one be fitted) a smallblock V8? LS1, LS6? into these cars? I've never seen this type of car in person so i'm not quite sure if this is even dimensionally possible. I have heard of V8's in these, or at least a few manufacturers that have done it..but only with the rover V8. I'm in the US, so how do these smallblock engines differ dimensionally from the rover? Is there any manufacturer currently offering these engines as an option?

It will fit a westie chassis as well as the dax manufactures may cotton on one day, especially dax

I seem to remember there being a 5.7l chevy engined Dax Rush for sale secondhand when i was buying mine. If you contact the dax factory they'll be able to help you out... they may well have the engine mountings already drawn up for that car if they supported the build.
