I have a Tiger Supercat I built and got on the road in 2004.
Over the winter I will be removing the dash to fit wipers and as my fuel gauge is playing up and the digital milometer.

So the plan was to remove said Dash which is ply and vinyl over that and to replace with polycarbonate dash and carbon vinyl of real carbon sheet over this.

As i'm going to be redoing the dash I was thinking of replacing all the gauges with one all in one dash like the one in the link below

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/dash-disp...
or

http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/all-in-one-d...

I don't need anything to expensive or fancy. I only need, speed, RPM, kilometre, oil water temp No need for GPS data logging

Now my question. I'm running a 2 ltr Blacktop, With Omex basic Ignition ECU. All the gauges are analog apart from my Speedo which reads from the prop sensor on the disc on said prop.

Will putting a all in one dash be simple enough or will i need to be adding lots of new wiring and sensors to get the dash reading correctly

Hope that made sense.

Also any recommendation to a good al in one dash would be great

cheers

Matt

Digidash is what all the RGB boys used to use.

Looks a tad cheaper direct from ETB too...

And as ETB do the tiger gauges I have are made by them they can tell me if i need any adaptors to make this dash fit.

Sounds and looks like a very good idea

I've got a Koso RX2N from Digital Speedos in my UVA and it's doing the job brilliantly.

It has all the usual functions and is easy enough to set up.

Matt I have the above Koso RX2N on my bike and would also recommend it

It's pretty damn simple too I doubt you'll have much bother wiring it all up. The only thing that can be tricky I've heard is sorting the fuel gauge out but I believe it's a case of matching up the resistance values between the sender and gauge.

I had an ETB Digidash in my last build.

I thought it was really good and clear. I was uncertain at first as you can't display speed & tacho at the same time along with water/oil temp pressure etc. To be honest it was never an issue as the shift lights are adjustable and very clear.

My old Fury had one of them, was good too, but about double the price of the Koso

You can also adjust the alarm points on the digidash too which makes it very usable on track, when it does alarm you can't miss it.

For example I have oil pressure alarm set to alarm at 40 psi, it also as the nice touch of been able to tell it not to alarm under xxxx rpm so the alarm doesn't annoy you on hot tick over, great little touch.

I drive on track with large display showing gear and use the shift lights wich are fully adjustable and lots of them safe in the knowledge I will get (hopefully not) a un missable alarm on water temp, oil temp/pressure or fuel should they reach or drop to limits I have set.

Great piece of kit.

My old car, was very good.. if you're happy paying the premium then it is probably better than the Koso for a car

I really would prefer a car based dash and a bike one that I have seen cheaper

Digital Speedos, who sell the Koso dash, have an adjustable adapter so that you can match any fuel sender to the Koso dash.

Save yourself some money & put an Acewell in Acewell 7659, I used to be a dealer for Acewell & their reliability, durability & after sales service is second to none. They come with all sensors you need to find & capable of picking up the feed from your existing speedo sensor, all the functions including some basic data logging, like 0-60 & standing 1/4 mile & if you talk to Oliver at Furore Products & tell him you're from Pistonheads & I sent you & you'll get 5% off into the bargain!

Really??? How exactly, perhaps you prefer the 6556

I use the old 3252 or 3254 in the Furore, but then I have very little dash space to play with & not much else will fit

Yeah I do prefer that but it's not as nice as the Koso. The other ones remind me of a oversized push bike computer.

I agreed and the other bike dash also looks gash. would rather spend extra and get something that looks nice than something that I would not want to look at
