I'm building a GD cobra and want to add a modern technology retro look stereo. I saw this when browsing but can't find the make anywhere. Can anyone help me as to what the stereo is?

If your interior is going to look like that, then I wouldn't worry about it. There isn't really anything retro about it.

Becker do them, as do Blaupunkt, AutoSound, Pioneer and probably everyone else too.

Maybe 'retro' was the wrong description. I don't want something that just slots into a radio cartridge, I want something that is quite chromed and looks like the 50's radios they used to have in American high end cars

This is what I have in my MX5 - is this the sort of thing you're looking for?

Has Aux in as well as a fly-lead with USB port and SD card slot.

I don't have, and have never really wanted an MX5, but I'd consider buying one just to have that steering wheel...

This is the nearest I can find but I'm not sure of the finish? Looks like could be plastic chromed?

I've only got one non-airbag car, and that wheel isn't right for it, but I might buy one to hang on the wall wink

there are a couple of companies specialising in fitting modern internals into classic radio bodies - they will be at the NEC Classic Car show (sorry I don't know their names)
