New show for kit cars, who is going to this one?
Discussion
Brilliant news, the guys at the Bath and West show ground have opened a hall just for kit cars. This will run along side the classic car show on the 5-6th Nov. Last year they filled the hall with kit car clubs and they are expecting the same this year. Kit car manufacturers have also been invited, I am going with our Replicar and Exocet, lets hope others join in. Did anyone go last year? Feedback would be good to hear. See you there, come and say hi.

I'll be going. If you have a 'classic' car (many kit cars will 'probably' qualify) the driver can get in half price.

Quote
Classic Car Owner Price:
- People wanting to bring along their classic car pay £5 on the gate, with the discounted price only applicable to the driver. All passengers pay the gate price or should have with them advance tickets.

This show won't last long - charging classic or kit car owners to display their car --oh no, not another daydreaming organiser.
Without any cars on display there's no show - organiser ought to pay each driver of a classic or kitcar at least £5 for turning up - Especially on a damp cold wet November morning.

It is important that car shows are sustainable, letting kit car drivers in for free seriously reduces income for shows and is historically proven as the main reason for the closing of shows, we are now down to one dedicated kit car show of course.
However I am delighted to report that the organisers have confirmed that kit car drivers will be allowed in at a discount. email below.
Yes any kit car owners can come into the classic car park, at £5 for drivers (Half price), and £10 for passengers.
Thanks for your support Stuart, see you soon, Andy

I disagree. £5 is nothing for a day out. Without any cars on display there's no show - organiser ought to pay each driver of a classic or kitcar at least £5 for turning up - Especially on a damp cold wet November morning.
The Midas Owners Club has attended the last two shows at Shepton Mallet and had a great time at both of them.
Maybe the Midas is more of a classic now than some of the other kit cars - we'll be celebrating 40 years in 2018 - but the shows attract a wide range of car enthusiasts from around the South West. Where else will you see a Rat style Bristol 403 and an Audi Quattro S1 parked either side of a Mazda MX5? (Where else will you see a Rat style Bristol 403? I suspect the Bristol Owners Club do not approve!)
I shall be there on both Saturday and Sunday with my Midas Gold out in the classics car park as it is too scruffy for the club stand. I look forward to seeing Stuart with his cars and any other kit car owners who attend.
