This isn't strictly a "wanted" ad (I've already posted one of them with zero response today on the Kit Cars section of the site).

I'm going to have some time on my hands at the end of the year and have been looking into building, restoring or completing a part built RS200 replica.

I've taken a closer look at the Tribute MRS200 (MR2 Roadster based) and you can get a good finish using the basic kit with some effort, and you can even push the boat out with a V6 Camry conversion, but at the end of the day the bonnet and windscreen don't look right. Also Tribute and the guy who owns the moulds are stopping production and the moulds are now up for sale, so even if I went this route I wouldn't be able to get a set of panels fabricated (unless I buy the moulds!).

I know there is a guy in Essex who is selling what appears to be a set of ex-Banham panels on eBay, at least the front clam and doors, and I've also spoken to the latest owners of the Kara/Mercury kit.

Any ideas for what I may have missed here in terms of options, or is anyone aware of a part built kit, or even fully built kit that needs work? I'd even consider a Banham Maestro at a decent price just to use the panels of it.

I presume you have looked at the facebook replica RS200 site

This is the one I built using a Celica GT4 as a base - sold on for less than £5k as no interest in them 8 years ago
