Anybody know anything about MNRacing?
Discussion
Just curious as they are quite near me.
I had a look at the website and everything seems to be quite good, looks fine and priced ok.
Has anybody got any experience of their kits and how easy they go together. Or, how well the cars go/handle when they are done?
I would search the archives but it seems to be down just now.
Cheers

I've only spoken to them on the phone and have had half an order delivered but the stuff I've got so far (R1 BEC sprocket adapter and R1 manifold) look good quality. Chris and Marc seem to be good guys from chatting to them on the phone. I'm going to Stafford kit car show to meet them to pick up the rest of the stuff I ordered tomorrow.

I had a look at the cars and also had a chat with mark on the mac#1 stand. I was quite impressed with their stuff and he was really helpful to a novice like me. (I know there has been some bad press on one of the other forums about them being an Indy rip off).
As it stands he invited me down to go out in a couple of cars next time I'm home. The big plus is that they are easily within an hours drive of me if I really need to see how something goes together.

[quote=jamesg20]1. arent mac1 and mnr two different companies? i stand to be corrected.

everytime I went over to mnr they were deep in conversation with other people so i had a chat with mac1 instead.
mnr aren't far from me so i can always pop up and see them later.
two companies that i didn't know about when i started looking but are jumping to the front based on how good the product looks, price, recommendations and a few other criteria.

I have a kit on order from MNR, I choose them because of the quality of the kit & the engineering expertise.
Mark is very knownledegable due to his racing & engineering experience which was greatly appreciated by me having spent many years competing in various forms of motorsport. They even designed an inboard suspension system for the car at my request.
On top of that they are extremely nice people who always make me very welcome when I visit them & even come down to the local hotel for a pint with me when I stay there.
Highly Recommened
