My search for the ideal kit sports car continues, and at present (tho this changes daily), I am seriously looking at the above engine for a power source...

Anyone got experience of these engines in cars (or bikes)?

supposed to be a bit less extreme, more torque than a superbike engine, but tweakable to have similar power to a 'blade...

It's worth checking the rotation of the shaft drive (I think these are shaft drive ??) as it might not be easy to hook it up to a differential. I've heard that some diffs can be run upside down but I'm not sure I'd be too keen to try.

People regulary turn Land/Range Rover diffs upside down (well actually they turn the whole axle upside down) when putting the engine in the back.

1100 v 1300, I would prefer the 1300, but apparently they are harder to come by.

Re technical stuff like fitting, Stuart Taylor Motorsport has built a few apparently, so I'll leave that sort of stuff to the experts...

I think I'm gonna go for turnkey anyhow.

I heard one fire up a while back. Brilliant noise. Like a small, angry v8

Well, I dont know a whole heap about the engines, other than they are 90 degree v4s.

They sound bloody fantastic, and apparently, with an ecu upgrade, they produce a chunk more power over stock.

Apparently they are a nice compromise between a car engine and a screaming bike plant.
