Hoods? 'Nuff said already me thinks.
If your budget is about £4k then you will find a half decent motor. Have a good look through Which Kit? classified and the other mags. We are getting into the spring so prices will start to firm up.
Westies may be just outside your budget. Still good fun and performance to be had though.

There's nothing actually WRONG with Robin Hoods as such, they have a very enthusiastic and thriving owners club, just don't pay over 3k for one and you should be OK, but knowing you like I do, I know if you buy one you will regret it within the week......
Better to save up a bit more and get a nice Tiger....

Try the PH Classifieds.... they even have a Westfield section!
I'd be looking at www.wscc.co.uk (Westfield Club site). Don't see too many at that price....but any that come up are likely to be worth looking at when advertised there, as opposed to some of the other places....

Wesfield Seiw
Main body in white, scuttle white and the nose cone. the bonnet is vented V8 type. rear detachable wings in bright red, front cycle wings in bright red. (An auto painter advised me that this was the best colour to use for the new modern stick on graphics that are now available)
Bought as a starter option from Westfield in March 2003 so all the chassis and body parts are from Westfield.
2.0 lt Zetec overhauled bottom end (arp bolts etc)
New Cam belts
Scholar shallow sump and oil pick up
Raceline waterail
Recon rocker cover (looks great)
Alternator fitted
New polo radiator with all the senders
New water pump (1.8 so it goes the right way round)
New clutch and cable
MT 75 box
Fuel piped through tunnel
Cosworth LSD
Spax shocks adjustable
New brake calipers and pads etc
Electonic speedo pick up
Westfield fuel tank
Porsche fuel pump
Full Westfield instrument kit and senders (including fuel gauge sender)
Westfield switches
Six lamp dash warning light cluster
All indicators and headlamps (black)etc
Carbon lookalike rear light clusters with new new type lenses (all six.)
Stailess fuel tank filler (locking)
Master switch
Push button start
New alloy wheels 15”
New stainless silencer
Black roll bar (not RAC)
Loads of other things I can’t think of at the moment
This car only needs an exhaust manifold and down pipe, an induction system (throttle bodies etc) and the cockpit finishing (I have already polished the alloy tunnel and other bits exposed)
