Hi All,

I am currently looking at all kinds of kit-cars, just for orientation. This year money and space will not allow the build, but in the next few years I definately plan on a build.

The things most interesting at the moment are an Ultima CanAm or a Lotus 7 'clone'. I like the ultima for being more modern, but mostly the price is setting me on hold. And also I am leaning more toward a no-weight (500kg orso) car with a relatively big engine (2L orso).

I was just wondering if there are any kitcars with a modern sporty approach. Kind of like a lotus elise sort of car. Any good pointers ?

Thanks guys. Oh, it should become a road legal car.

Thanks for the suggestion. That was indeed a bit like a car I'm after. But it seems to still be a bit heavy ? around 900kg. Which is just slightly less then an Ultima.

Still a worthwhile suggestion though !.

Are there any kits out with subaru running gear ?

Marlin?

www.5exi.co.uk/

iro 550kg with basically the same engine options as the GTM (except the KV6)

It is less practical though.

What sort of price would you be looking at for a fully assembled, SVA'd T-Series car?

Blaze formerly known as the Pell Genesis but the body now being adapted to fit the 420^3 chassis I believe.

For a modern 7, there's the Toniq R

I think Marlin quote iro £9-10k, but talking to a few builders they are reckoning to spend nearer £12k. Much of this being trim, painting (instead of the gelcoat) and poss some engine work.

The K1 Attack is a lovely looking car, but its UK release seems to be plagued with problems. www.dynamic-performance.co.uk

I do appreciate the Attack styling, but I have seen multiple pictures that got me worried about the quality.

The Aeon cars look particularly nice. Any more info on these ? I have not yet found any build sites orso. There aren't a lot of pictures on the site and none of any big size...(or am I just looking at the wrong spot ?)...

Thanks for all the suggestions so far !

There aren't any build sites yet because very few have been completed yet - I have the first two seater version..... This isn't it
