Anyone know anything about Dutton kit cars?
Discussion
Dutton were a very well known name in the late 70s, early 80s kit car indusry. The made a range of models including the Melos, Phaeton, and Sierra. The early kits used Triumph front suspension but later kits used an increasing proportion of Ford Escort components. Dutton still exist as a manufacturer of amphibious cars. There is also a very active owners club.
While checking it was Sierra, I found this:

I think it is fair to say that Dutton kits were not the highest quality available at the time but by the same token they were very cheap. They were certainly buildable with some care and ingenuity as can be seen from the massive number that were sold. I built 2 Dutton Sierras and ran one as my daily driver and tow car for my Mini Marcos racer for quite a few years.
