This is currently for sale in the classifieds on here.

Evidently it's built on a Dutton chassis...

I would be really interested to see the build photo's to see just how you got a Dutton Legerra chassis under that as the legerra has 12 inch rear chassis extensions and a full track width front cross member / bumper bar. Surely if you had cut those off that would constitute a 'heavily modified chassis' and therefore require an IVA test.

Can't find the advert, but more likely it's registered as a Dutton rather than actually being built from one.

Any which way you look at it that MK should have a valid IVA certificate. hehe
There is no mention of it in the advert.
I'll leave everyone else to draw their own conclusions on the subject.
Contrary to popular belief the DOC are not on a witch hunt for mis registered cars however we would be slacking as a marque based club if we stood by and condoned people who deliberately circumnavigate the law for profit.
I've got four Legerra's and I do know that without amputating bits of the chassis it just wouldn't fit under that 7 clone body.
As for how I know it used to be a Legerra... whistle

And now it's on evilbay ( LINK)
Knowing that there were so few Dutton Legerras made and that this has the ID from one of them makes me more than a little annoyed. If you are going to build an MK do it right and get it tested.

Does it have a valid IVA certificate or are you assuming it doesn't?

Not trying to be argumentative btw, just interested to know

Honest answer, don't know.
I've been in touch with the seller on ebay, evidently he bought it as is. I wrote back to him but he hasn't answered yet.
None of the 'major components' come from the Legerra so according to the 8 point thingy it shouldn't have been allowed to keep the existing reg after the test. That's what makes me think it hasn't been tested, they would have given him a new VIN and reg.
