Hi,

Will 215/50x13's go on 7Jx13 rims?

... or will I have to go to the next rim size?

TIA

2.8 Capris run 205/60 x 13s on 7" rims and I've had 215/60 x 14 and 215/60 x 15 tyres on 7" rims, so I reckon you should be OK.

Yes, according to Yokohama, 215/50 13s can fit 6.5J through 7.5J so 7J spot on.
Hope they are sticky.

N & CT, request for info on related subject (meaning track car set up not marriage guidance) -
Have you had your cars suspension set up in Aberdeen area? I was wondering if there is anyone I can rent/borrow corner weight scales from.

Didn't hace the suspension set up on the Tiger, turns out the rocker arm were upside down anyway !!! But am keen to do so with the new car - whatever it turns out to be.

I am travelling to Bristol tomorrow to look at a likely suspect.

Numptie mentioned he had heard of someone locally who can measure and set up track, camber, castor etc.

Guinness sometime ??

This puts your apparently leisurely run up the hill at at Fintray in a whole new light. Who knows how quick it could have been with suspension fitted the right way round.

Meeting for a Guiness seems like a plan. I am working down at Riverside House, refreshments can be arranged for some lunchtime soon.

George,

I've been told about someone in Ellon that is recommended for geo & corner weights.

I'll try to get details this afternoon. Apparently, they did a great job on Dick Bridger's Dax Rush.

Lost your email address - please drop me a note and I'll respond.

Cheers,

Eric

I had 215/50 R13's on 7" rims on my old Mini. They didn't look 'over tyred'. Better to have a bit of tyre bulge, than half an inch of rim sticking out. From an aesthetic point of view you understand.
