What are these cars like??

[url]www.k1-styling.sk/menu.php[url]

Do they still have a massive waiting list and extremely difficult to get hold of?

Any help much appreciated.

According to the official website, finally came back online this morning, is it really only about £22k for the kit?

Have seen ones advertised in America fully built upwards of $65k.

How come its taking so long for the official launch, some of the threads were started in 2003, surely it can't take 2 years to get a RHD model working, can it?

It's a great looking car and the technoligy should be first rate, but their is something strange going on.

It seems that they have tried and are trying to market the car in Europe and the Usa, but no customers cars have been seen yet, or at least none to my knowledge.

The car was shown also here in italy a few months ago, but no delivery dates yet???............something strange...................if it where an italian car, but I'm being cynical here, I would say it's the same car that was shown all over Europe, but repainted (yellow, orang, red, blue) overnight to show it's a new car everytime!!

This has been done in the past many times, and I'm afraid this is going on this time again.............I hope I'm wrong but .................maybe they are fishing for development money, who knows?

But very strange indeed.......

www.attackforums.com is a fairly good resource. Apparently Dynamic Performance was at Stoneleigh last year, but I didn't make it there.

They've been promising a demonstrator since Christmas 2003, and it's still not materialised. I think part of the problem has been converting from LHD, and adaptation to use the Ford V6 instead of the Honda engine.

I've also e-mailed Dynamic Performance (www.dynamic-performance.co.uk) a few times asking about SVA suitability. They've never responded. I really hope they're not going tits-up, because it looks like a fantastic kit.

Here's a coincidence - and another PH exclusive!

Just happened to meet Mark Turner of Dynamic Performance yesterday and naturally we got chatting about the Attack.

Situation is basically that while Dynamic have had a lot of interest and are really keen to finally launch the car, they're being jerked around by K1.

Won't go into details, but basically Dynamic Performance are as fed up with the situation as we are but aren't willing to risk committing themselves further until they know which way things are going.

Expect the situation to be resolved one way or another before Stoneleigh though.

Well then, now we know for sure that the same car has been painted a few times and visited Europe quite a bit.........................

Just hope nobody put a down payment on it yet........

Stranger by the day.........

Just read the latest article an the K1 in an Italian tuning magazine.

They tested the car and still say that it's at a prototype stage because the first cars had Honda engines, and now they are going for Ford duratecs, but should be available soon??????!!!!!!!!!!!...................an Italian company is marketing it at

www.puross.com

Name changes, engine changes and other .......................

I believe it's becoming a saga by now.....................

I actaully got to see the Attack in person and go for a ride in a completed car.

1) slow.

2) poor fitment and quality.

This was not a prototype, but supposedly a finsihed product. Seeing it person forced me to look in different directions.

The K1 attack is a kit car but it is not the first car they have modified. They started out with a camaro based car back in 1992 but the sales were horrible, I don't know why, the car looked just about as good as this on but in 92. This new K1 attack is honda accord base car, the engine has been moved to the middle and they have many new tech up-grades. The car is really nice.Keep in mind it still has the stock honda engine. I would suggest getting a better motor from v-tech, because a car like that deserves more power. There are some on sale here in the USA but they are very hard to find. I know of 1 for sale right know for about $120,000, so if any body is seriosly looking for one, e-mail me @ arturo04@earthlink.net and I could help you find on.

I for one would love to see the distributor brought into this to answer the questions mentioned earlier , I have seen manufacterers slighted for things beyond their control and for others gain, and by the same I have seen distributors that have sold vehicles that should never have been sold - (yes I remember being told " just cut the middle chassis rails out where the propshaft wants to go and weld some steel underneath" as will many dutton owners , having said that it was a cheap and great fun car that i used for 7 years as daily transport.

Not quite the same, but see my post below dated 2nd February.

Will obviously give fuller story at a more appropriate time after we've seen how things pan out.
