I'm a little ahead of time, but need to book the flight and accomodations in Stoneleigh.

I need your help and have a few questions.

1)The dates of the show are on May 1st and 2nd, and that Would be a Sunday and Monday, is that correct ? a mistake on the dates shown?.

Can't book a flight or accomodations, if I can't sort those dates.

2) Is it best to fly into Birmingham and then drive or take a bus/ train to Stoneleigh? how many miles from the airport,

3) Inexpensive accomodations in Stoneleigh ?

Thanks for your help guys, and I will see you all in May!

Stoneleigh is generally on the May bank holiday Sunday/Monday so the dates would seem right to me.

Cheap accomodation - camp at the ground

Can't help with flights I'm afraid.

Not sure how easy it would be to get a train/bus from Birmingham airport to Stoneleigh (The event takes place at the showground which is in the middle of nowhere!

The AA.com claims the journey is 14 miles and would take 25 minutes, so a taxi *may* be an option.

ALternatively, I'm sure we could find a PH'er who lives near the airport maybe?

As for accomodation, camping at the ground will be your cheapest option!

As for dates, here they are in black and white!

Hi Italo,

Don't know the dates off hand, but as John says, it's normally a Sunday and Monday.

As for accommodation, there is now a hotel at the entrance of Stoneleigh Park, but no idea what the costs are. Stoneleigh is also between Coventry and Leamington Spa so should be plenty of other local accommodation available if you don't like John's camping suggestion.

Showground is only about 10 miles from Birmingham airport, and even less from Coventry airport, which seems to specialise in low cost flights though don't know if it connects to your part of the world.

Best access by road as there are no train stations near showground.

As for accomodation (other than a tent!)

Could try Easyjet for flights.

If you email me the dates, airports to and from etc, I'll call a friend at a travel agent to see what it'll cost ordered here.
