Hi all,

I think this is a great idea from the boys at Derby so would like to get behind the idea and get an idea of the number of people that would be interested in a seminar at Derby and what sort of questions and concerns you have about SVA.
SVA is a subject that comes up here quite frequently so I'm hoping you guys can supply some relevant questions that the Derby guys can collate and give answers to.
I would appreciate it if you could reply to the thread on Madabout with your questions and intent of interest in attending and also e-mail Mark at the Derby SVA centre (at the address supplied in the 1st post of the thread)
With enough positive support this could turn out to be a very worthwhile initiative and hopefully Madabout could hold some very useful SVA documents for all to reference in the future.
I'm posting this after a night out so am a little p1ssed so hopefully it makes sense.
Cheers, John

Hi John.
This scheme is already in place and the first seminar takes place today (Friday 21st) at Shrewsbury SVA test centre.
The whole seminar idea was thought up by Stuart Rangecroft, one of the testers at Shrewsbury.
I spoke with stuart yesterday (Thursday)and asked if there were any places left and he told me that it was "Well and truly fully booked" and is planning the next one.

Hi Dave, wasn't aware of that but I guess it re-affirms what a good idea it is. Perhaps the SVA centres have been talking to each other.

Stuart Rangecroft told me that all had to be cleared through SVA HQ in Swansea before it went ahead.
I don't know how they will publicise this , but probably through the kit manufacturers....Which might not be ideal for many builders. I think the Mags ought to give them a bit of free space, that should do the trick.
