I am looking around for a suitable heater for my Aeon now.

It must be capable of windscreen demisting, fresh air intake (for summer use) and enough cabin heat to cope with a UK winter

Any suggestions guys?

I'm going for one of the universal units from www.vintageair.com/ to get A/C + heater in one package.

They do have some really good looking systems. I was originally going for a combined heater / AC package but my car changed from a hard-top to a spyder so AC is going to be a bit pointless after all

CBS have got a compact heater but I can't help feeling that it is not quite powerful enough (heat wise) ...... unless anyone has already tried one of these? Plus I would really like a servo-based system (no need for mechanical controls)

Failing that I could try to convert a donor vehicle's heater - I hear that the VW Polo is a good candidate in this area ..... anyone?

Razman is the CBS one the electric heater/fan/demister jobby if so I have two in my car for the demist. They do the job of passing the SVA but probably wont be powerfull enough for what you wil need. I will probably be fitting a water based system with a powerfull production car blower as soon as I finnish sourcing the parts to fit the lightened flywheel as it will be an engine out job anyway (2 birds 1 stone).
all the best Stannerz.

Hi Stannerz - I was actually thinking of this one www.nfauto.co.uk/acheat.htm
but as I now don't need the aircon in a Spider it will be a bit too expensive now.

Those electric demisters are just a SVA dodge really - I need some serious heat as the car will be used as a daily driver in all weathers (brrrr) so it has to be a wet system.

Europa have some interesting candidates ...

the Europa ones look very interesting ( especially the cheaper one. I'm going to keep these in mind for my heater system.

i'm using a rover 200/400 heater/demist in my shelsley T2... meant to heat a 4dr so works bl**dy well, demists in seconds and you can even have to roof off in the winter and not get cold!

oh, and it only cost £10 from scrappy & with a slight brush off & clean came up good as new!
