Dax Rush as only car for everyday use ??????
Discussion
Is it possible ???
Anybody out there whose only car is a seven (or replica) ??? What's it like ?? Are they useable in wet or icy conditions ???
I will have the heater , demister , leather , and full hood and tonneau cover BTW...
Finally a stupid but important question :
What colour scheme for the body and interior do you think is best ????? Post pics if u want.
Cheers , tony.

I used a Caterham Seven for 18 months as my only commuting car. I did about 30 miles a day, and used it in rain, shine and snow. The snow was fun!
1) It must have weather equipment
2) It must have a heater
3) You must *love* your cars to be mad enough to do it. I did, and put up with it. Shopping meant loading up the passenger seat with carrier bags!!!
Was it useable in the snow? Yes it was. But it was a bugger to start, so make sure it is fuel injected and has a decent battery and starter motor. Driving on ice just meant being very cautious.
You have the heater, demister and hood. That is good! Leather seats aren't so wise, as they may be damaged unless kept garaged. Everyday use can really knacker them, especially if using it in snow and rain etc.
On a Dax Rush I would go for a nice metallic colour, rather than traditional sevenesque colour schemes. Say a nice metallic azure blue, with a dark or light interior piped blue, with blue touches etc. My old seven was Lotus azure blue metallic and looked fantastic. Porsche's equivalent is iris blue, BMW's is avus blue if I remember.
Cheers

That's not too bad. There are plenty of bargain westfields and formula 27s out there that frankly look ghastly for very little money. Respraying them would make them significantly more attractive and still make them good value for money.
I just need to find out if it's possible to convert from swept wings to cycle mud-guards now

I suppose so ........
I have a mental image of myself pulling up to a temporary road block in the middle of nowhere and being ambushed by caterhams and westfields !!!!!
Would sound alright I suppose...
