Tiger Supercat Suspension Unit Length ?

Does anyone know what length the front suspension units should be ?

I have mine off the car right now and the measure 11-1/2" between bolt centres - Is this correct ?

I measured the units on my car last night, (no engine in it yet so I climbed in the engine bay!) and it was 11-1/4 inches between centres. The car is sitting on its wheels so the springs are probably slightly compressed anyway.

It turns out that there is nothing wrong with the suspension units, they guy who built the car put the rocker arms on upsidedown.

They are now the right way round and the car looks better for it. I now need to do something with the lower radiator hose and water pump, there is not much clearance between them and the road now.
