Is TKC a paper magazine now or still a web site ? I never could work out how the site worked.

Totalkitcar is a weekly webzine that also produces a quarterly magazine.

I believe it is a webzine 1st, but I reckon a paper based publication brings in a little more revenue than a free website.

Forgive the ignorance but who is Dave Walker?

Total Kit Car started off as avery informative, handy webb site.
But late last year started producing a monthly (I think) printed magazine. This was available from their website & gradually increased circulation via retail outlets.

It has now grown to a reasonable mag that seems still on the up & a refreashing change from the previous (war, biased) offerings.
The webb site still good, gives tasters of the current print.

They are also about to start a feature on the build up of their own Libra.

URL link on 1st post.

As people have said, both. As for the website, I'm not the only person who thinks the layout/UI etc is crap. The design leaves a lot to be desired too. I also tend to get an impression there's a bit of a holier than thou attitude on Steve Hole's part re: the other mags.

Don't know about a 'Holier than thou attitude' but Steve is capitalising on the tit4tat from the other mags.

I do agree the site is a little hard to follow and not so pleasing to the eye, but it is (if you can find the time to look) full of information.

BTW the mag is quarterly and is a fair bit more expensive than the other 2.

Yes , but its free on the Web , and more importantly is regular and up to date . It also has a big advantage of being available worldwide where ever you have Web Access ! We cant even get the other magazines here Now . So good on Steve and thanks for keeping us informed and up to date. Now if you want to do a tuning article I have a Toyota 20V in a Locost you can use (and its warm here at the moment!

What the others said really - he is great at clinic type articles where he goes over an owners car and reviews it from every respect and helps them tweak it. In CCC he would test drive the car, corner weight it, check the suspension geometry tyre temps etc etc etc and make tweaks and recommendations as well as putting it on his rolling road and finding any problems and working out where they could make gains. He did this for every kind of car imaginable including lots of kits. He has also tuned just about every sort of engine going and knows what works and doesn't. I reckon securing his services is a bit of a coup for any mag or website.

So what's the url for the webzine ? The main pages don't seem to tell me anything. I agree, the web site is very poor, I'm not stupid but I can't find anything that looks like an on-line magazine.

This is pretty much what he does in PPC Mag.

Daves ace. The clinic was always the first read and best article in CCC - even when, as mentioned, some of the rest of it was going a bit max power. (Anyone else remember the feature from the final issues where some joker was choosing 'sexy' new alloys for his audi tt, and generally maxing it ). Shame really, but good to see Dave lives on through the internet - his website is always well worth a visit.
