Hello

I am thinking about building one of these cars. Has anyone put a 2litre honda v-tec engine into one? If so how does it perform? THanks

No personal experience of the Mojo, Ivanos, but Jeremy Philips doesn't design bad cars, simple as that.

With a V-TEC motor it will fly. Expect 0-60 times around the 4 second mark, depending on the tyres.

go for the MoJo2 and racing chassis mods. They make it a bit stiffer. Mk1 had higher sides and thicker tubing and are OK.

cheers

MoJo.

Oh and forget the Aero screen the windscreen ads a bit of downforce.

Thanks for your help! Can these be built completely from scratch or do you have to buy the chassis kit?

I'm almost certain you'd have to buy the kit. Jeremy Philips is one of the top chassis designers in the business, and I'm sure he wouldn't be prepared to release drawings for chassis fabrication.

Also, since the design uses independent suspension all round, accuracy of alignment will be critical. It is well worth the extra cost to get something that has been fabricated on accurate jigs - not to mention the saving in time and effort!

Also if you find anywhere to get a k20a and box for reasonable money let me know as i've been thinking of doing something similar.

I saw a Mojo at a trackday last weekend. It's definantly different from the normal 7 esque kits and it performed very well. I don't know what lump it had, but good looking car

I was at the Mojo day this weekend at Elvington and Jeremy was there too. I was hoping he was going to bring an R1ot though. There were plenty of Mojo's there and a 1.6 VTEC engined car that sounded very nice.

As much as I love the engineering, the bodywork is not pretty to my eyes. That's why I'm building a Fisher Fury. For all the varied power plants I saw this weekend, it was the R1 engined Fury that seemed to go and sound the best (but I am biased). Awesome acceleration and handling!
