To me, and I have to tell you that I know nothing about this kind of car, it seems an awful lot of money for 145bhp, My Lotus makes 160bhp and weighs next to nothing and originally only cost me a grand! I realise that it's the style you want, but I have found that if your car looks very very quick, it needs to be very very quick or you can soon find yourself looking very very stupid. With that sort of cash you could be driving an Esprit Turbo, 0-60 in around 5 secs, and drop dead gorgeous. Just my opinion, good luck, Simon.

I already own a TVR Wedge 5ltr 400bhp, I was just looking for something a bit different with less cc's, that would be usable and quick.( as it would be cheaper to take abroad) Have a look at the Wedge forums classified under V8 Developments 460i

I'm not surprised that the owner wants to get rid of it and buy a real one. A replica always seem a bit like a wig to me; doesn't stand up to much scrutiny, and when people have sussed it's a fake it's just embarassing.

Oh, and those do not look like any Ferrari wheels I've ever seen, and the wing mirrors look wrong too.

Avoid IMO.

As I said earier, for that sort of money, you could be driving an Esprit Turbo. I think that's a bit different with less cc's (2.2 ltr) I see more 308's than Esprits on the roads around here. I'm not sure how The Ferarri would be cheaper to take abroad though?, unless your talking about the fuel, maybe.
Just off to check out your wedge, looking at a 400se at the moment myself, standard though, cheers Simon.

FK ME! Not EC then? or is it? Thoughts of motor transplants for the short term would be passing thruogh my head! Would it not be a better bet to buy something when you get there?

The beauty of these cars is alot to do with the finish. A real one in the flesh is so easy to tell apart.

Saw a 355 MR2 replica last night in the West End, and the guys with me all started to shout "mr2, mr2, look at that mr2" the poor bloke looked really embarrassed and made a really quick exit.

I agree with the Esprit option probably a better bet. The replica might be hard to sell on too.
