Does anybody remember a mid-late 70's VW based kit car known as an Embeesee Charger (possibly spelt like this!). I believe that there was also a similar model with a slightly different name. It was a wedgy looking thing with gull-wing doors.

Yeah, I remember it.

I came across one a few years ago in a used car lot.

To call it a shed would be a kindness - I don't even think I'd want to keep my tools in it (apart from anything else, judging by the mould on the very tasteful dralon upholstery, it leaked badly, so they'd go rusty).

Would have a certain novelty value, though, and it was Beetle based, so mechanical parts wouldn't be a problem.

Thats Easy Charger II , the main differance eas the small windows behind the doors for extra visability , cleaner shape . Looks slightly like a Mk1 Esprit with Gull wing doors . again it was beetle based .
