Hi, Ive just purchased my first westfield a 1992 pre lit model. A good well looked after car, but has`nt seen daylight for not far off ten years. The paint has faded a bit in places. How much roughly would it cost to have it resprayed and can anybody recommend anywhere near Northampton. Thanks

Speak to Dave Knight at Merlin Bodycraft in Brackley
01280 705156

He is a mate of mine and used to own a prelit Westie.

A mate's dad runs this garage, they have a spray shop I believe, and a he's a really sound bloke.

They're in Rushden, so pretty close to you as well.

I believe it is 'pre-litigation'. Refering to Caterham taking Westfield to court for their cars being too close to the Caterham/Lotus design. After the court case the Westfield was totally re-designed. AFAIK.

Try the Westfield factory, might be cheaper to buy new panels than have it repainted

you won't get the panels cheap .I phoned about a pair of new cycle wings for my old pre-lit and they wanted nearly £150 for the pair!!!!.I bought some shop soiled (were getting painted) from a locust place for £20 for the pair, slightly thicker glass,so won't crack like the early ones.
