Why don't I find these bargains

My work colleague has been thinking of a kitcar and after being out in my Westie,decided at his age,something a bit more sedate.He only found a Pilgrim Bulldog with a new respray,later sierra 1800cc,starts,runs and the only thing he needs to do is a couple of things for the mot,missing horn and the likes and got it for £450.Has chrome Weller wheels and just needs interior carpets and seats.I found a pair of Granada black leather seats in the local rag tonite for £15.Bargains never seem to come my way.Could be on the road for way less than a grand.Cheap 'Al Fresco' motoring.I will of course point him the Pistonheads direction.
