Lovely looking car , how strong is the connection to the Mini Marcos?
The first Midas was indeed a replacement for the Mini Marcoshttp://midasownersclub.co.uk/history/
Not trying to put a dampner on things but make sure they know what they are doing layup wise, that is a very complicated composite layup
They MUST follow the original spec, its the same from the Midas all the way up to historic F1 lots of people think they can throw a few ounces of glass into something or a couple of layers of carbon and it will do the job
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing

WOW! A new Midas!
It will be great to see one with a more modern interior etc.
One detail that may be possible during lay-up of the shell is to incorporate a recessed lip round the windscreen aperture to allow a bonded in screen. It will be great to see one with a more modern interior etc.
hope that's the case, its just that in composites lots talk the talk but few can actually do the walk
Prime example is when pastiche took over the gold convertible an didn't see the need for woven cloth or vac,d in foam floors-then surprised when the doors opened on their own as the car went round corners.

Pastiche did not know what they had bought. They wanted to produce the car as cheaply as possible without realising the cost of doing it properly. The final insult was the fact that they were going to put a steel chassis into the convertible (I did see a bodyshell with no floor).Prime example is when pastiche took over the gold convertible an didn't see the need for woven cloth or vac,d in foam floors-then surprised when the doors opened on their own as the car went round corners.
