Roadrunner R1 / MK Sprint R
Discussion
My friend bought this supercool Roadrunner R1 (also known as the MK Sprint R or Roadrunner SR1). It's made in the UK but unfortunately it's out of production now. Anyone know what happened to the company? I know it was made by Martin Keenan (MK Engeneering). It has a Yamaha R1 engine, 180HP

Im building a Roadrunner SR2 at the minute, the company is great to deal with and really enthusiastic... Mike the owner is a complete petrol head who does a lot of track days a year so knows what most customer expect!
The SR1 has been fully redeveloped using MX5 components (light, strong and well made) It uses full pushrod suspension all round, redesigned to take all bike engines but I think the company is looking to work with the Suzuki motors (600, 750, 1000, 1300). the bodywork has also been redesigned, the SR1 being very similar to the old style and a new full bodied LM style, LM1.
The last I saw Roadrunner have fitted a 2010 hayabusa engine in the LM style body... should be an interesting car when finished, I can't wait to see it in action, I reckon with the MX components it should be a very fast reasonably priced track weapon!
There website and Facebook page is updated regularly if anyone is interested in the progress..

Thank you very much! I really like the look of the LM1.
Do you know if Roadrunner Racing is still supporting the "old" SR1 and selling parts for these kits? I'm asking for my friend who will probably need new brakediscs soon and maybe some spare body parts.
Thanks
