Does anyone have one lying around? I'm looking for one to fit to the front crank pulley of my 2lt Pinto to send the pulses to a distributorless ignition system. They were apparantly fitted to CVH engined Sierras but they're none existant in my local scrap yards.

If not does anyone know where I can source a cheap one from?

Aren't they Rover V8 specialists? I need one for a 2lt Pinto engine.

I know you can get them from CVH engined Sierras but they're just not in any of my local scrappies Does anyone know of one or where else I can get one from? or happen to have one lying around?

Are you trying to hookup a Ford EDIS module? Either way it sounds very similar and they use 36-1 wheels. You can apparently get the parts of a DOHC 1.8 Sierra front pulley but there is also a pressed steel part from a Granada you can use. Have a look here: www.jsm-net.demon.co.uk/megasquirtnedis/whatyouneed.html for the details.

Failing that I think that Bill Shurvinton was saying that he can get toothed wheels laser cut for something of the order of £20. See this thread for contact details: http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=120454&f=30&h=0
Failing that ask on the UK Megasquirt Yahoo Groups: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/megasquirt_uk/
(oops - see you've read that already )

The whole business should work fine on non-Ford engines too. James Murray has made an adapter to convert the Granada pressed steel item to fit a SB Chevy harmonic balancer for example.

hope this helps,
Dave
