Well, being Barbadian, I naturally HAD to watch the rally. I've seen previous footage of the Fluke Motorsport's Westfield performing very well, but that was on tarmac race circuits. So, everyone's question was, "How is this very low and roofless little car going to survive on a rally like ours...especially with a Brittish driver; those guys are nuts you know!"

Anyways, some consistant and controlled tail-out action in stage #1 quickly dispelled any misgivens about the car, and more importantly, about the driver keeping it all together.

Overall, it was an enjoyable rally. However, as Graeme said, we did miss some of our favorite drivers due to last minute pull-outs.

Anyways, there's always next year guys, so don't miss this one.

(p.s. Kudos to the flying englishman, Martin Stockdale and his E36 BMW M3. We have some very tight roads in Barbados and Stockdale put down a very "tight" performance...very sideways, very sideways indeed!)

Cheers dude, the shame was that a missed pace note put us out (taking a crest/jump), the interference on the intercom mic finally coming in at the wrong time

However, we will be back, the car is now being converted specifically for next year's Rally Carnival. Come winter you'll see it back on your shores, with a revised shock setup, 200bhp, 420kg, 13000rpm and hopefully myself there permanently to race it all year round.....

Stockdale's trophy will have our name on it next year

First videos of the event are up on the site -

One from the RallySprint (Martin Atwell vs me) and one from the first stage of the rally (comedy audio, frequent bad language, very obvious which section we had some fun for the crowd on).

Mr Atwell will have some seeeerious competition next year.

Graeme.
