The original Ford moulds (slightly bent due to nearby fire!) were sold to Paul Banham of Banaham Conversions. They were then purchased! (not going into that) by RallySport Replicas (RSR) near Cambridge. Due to wraglings about purchase RSR went under (I bought a complete set of panels from him - I believe they may have been the last Banham ones. This was 6 years ago.
There may be other panel manufactures using bucks from existing cars as previous posts.
By the way I built mine using a Celica GT4 platform so retained 4 wd and 280 bhp. SVA'd and weighed 1240kg. I built it to use in competition so was not finished to road car interior standards. Was also MSA Logbooked for sprints and hillclimbs. I used it at Croft and 2nd fastest (out of 60) on a trackday. Sold it for £5k which was less than the cost of the panels / parts.

I had found that one. It looks just the ticket. I like the idea that it uses a longitudinal engine installation. I am not sure that I would want to use a Cosworth or even a turbo engine. A highly strung Duratec would be kind of cool but I wonder if you could squeeze something in a v-configuration in? If I built a car, it would need to look like an RS200 but it needn't be the most authentic replica out there. It's more the fact that I am looking for a 2-door, mid-engined coupe that can be 'played' with and a kit RS200 seems like it fits the bill perfectly.Steve

I do think the design has aged well and they are so rare that most people wouldn't know what it was, anyway
The kit, mid-engined coupe market is sorely lacking at the moment... Then again, it was probably never buoyant, other than the MR2 body swaps.
Ideally, my spec would be:
- Road going interior (charcoal alcantara) including stereo/ nav
- Grigio Silverstone/ dark, metallic grey paintwork
- Red, modern alloys (giving a GT3RS type look)
- Modern, NA V6 of about 3 litres/ 300bhp
- Not too low/ stiff that it isn't everyday usuable
Absolutely NOT what the RS200 was designed to be but I'm guessing that would still be 300bhp/tonne and a damn sight cheaper than a new Cayman and it isn't meant to be a replica. I really do fancy one of these... Just need to move back to the UK!

Don't want to rain on your parade but you would probably be better off with a replica. I know the owner of an original and he hardly drives it as it is near impossible to drive on the road. There again there is an owner who uses his regularly even to go to the shops.

I always laugh at those photo's because the second one from the left is not a genuine RS200 it is a Banham 200 version based on the Austin Meastro. You can see the white bonnet badge which Paul put on all of his replicas. James from RSR took the photo's to use in his adverts after purchasing the company.
There were many replicas produced, Banham, SPD, RSR, GT4/200, Rally Replicas, Mercury, KARA 430, Evo 200.
The first five and the most accurate used genuine body panels, the second three used externally copied only and had lengthened panels which can easily be seen in the cills, front quarter panel bumpers and other area's.

Dom, the guy who bought my old Mr2Roadster with the 3.0 V6 conversion is currently fitting an RS200 kit to that.
Haven't heard from him in a while so will email and see how he's progressing with it.
That would pretty much cover the bases for you but you would need to go SC or buy a 2GRFE and running gear to get up to the 300bhp mark. Only 200 just now but the weight will be nearer a tonne.
