HELP!!
The windscreen on my Midtec spyder has cracked and I need a new one. Does anyone have one gathering dust in the corner of their garaqe? Or a body with the screen that they want to sell?
The only other option is to have Pilkington make a one off at over £1100.
Please help me and my beloved Spyder....

If my memory serves me well it's actually a rear screen off a Saab but I don't know which model.

Yes the shape is a slightly modified Saab 96 rear window but it has to be laminated of course and the jigs no longer exist. Apparantly, the process for making a rear and front screen requires totally different jigs/ plugs or whatever.
This is a long shot I know but on the other hand, you never know....

The one I had was an un modified Saab 96 rear screen and wasn't laminated. It was a toughened rear screen.

On my last mot, the tester specifically looked to see that the screen said laminated. Also I'm reluctant to drive around in a car without one.

What happens to all the cars that only have toughened screens?

I'm only stating my previous experience with my car, i thought all cars after a certain date had to have a laminated screen, maybe I'm wrong but I still wouldnt want to drive a car without one, especially on a track.
