ALFA ROMEO V6/BMW SEVEN REPLICA
Discussion
The Marlin Sportster is similar and uses BM running gear including engines (M3 powered ).
Otherwise, there are plenty of Westfields, DAXs, Luegos, etc. with V8 engines so a V or straight 6 shouldn't be a problem for any of them.
I should think if you take a look around LocostBuilders you'll find some Alfa powered examples too.

thanks for the info
Just visited the Locostbuilders site, but no Alfa or Bmw engines build stories, but other V6 stories. Maybe I have problems with my search wording...
I agree with you that a V6 Alfa would fit, but on the other hand I did find a caterham seven with a 4 cylinder, 2 liter Alfa engine in Sweden.
I also know that the Gillet Vertigo has a Alfa V6 engine, but 105,000 Euros or 65,000 Pounds to buy one is a little steep for me...............

There's a chap on the Tiger list who's put a 2.8lt V6 from a Capri/Sierra into a Tiger Cat (like mine). No chassis mods needed and only slight moving of various ancillaries.
I've always fancied trying a 2.9lt Corrado VR6 as it's no longer than a straight 4 and not much wider because it's a very narrow V with staggered cylinders. An added bonus is all the exhaust outlets are down one side and inlets down the other so only need a single exhaust side exit

Has anyone attempted to place an Alfa V6 or Bmw 6 cilinder engine on a seven replica? .
A couple of months ago 'Which Kit?' featured a Westfield with an Alfa V6. The guy had also crafted an Ally/GRP body in a 50s racer style over the frame. I don't think the bodywork was neccessay for the engine fitment though and I don't know what in-line gearbox it used (or more likely I've forgotten) I could probably scan and e-mail if you like. Let me know.
Edited 'cos I just remembered this photo of a Striker with a Honda V6:
