design a new kit car

Sorry if this has been covered already but I kinda fancy building a new kit car based around a sevenesque chassis.

There's plenty of people able to supply mechanicals but how do you go about getting a body designed and actually made from scratch.

I'm no designer but would have a chassis to use as a base.
Can anyone shed any light on how and how much?

i'm doing something very similar with my stratos replica, but since appearance is not gonna be so important i'll be doing it without the use of bucks

Thanks for that, the Meerkat chap's a braver man than I!
I don't have the time/space to build the body myself or the skill to design one so I'm really looking for people to take this job on.
I do like your Stratos replica though.

the design part is simple, a few renderings that you like, but then transporting them to 3d is the challenging part.

Many ways could be used for the prototype construction.
