Nope GTD40 seems to have gone belly up. And yes I think I'd like a GT40. Why'd you ask?

Could be wrong here, but early research seems to say that tornado is the budget end of the market. (Thanks anyway)

Try Duncan Hamilton. This one is already put together but perhaps they could put you in touch with CAV.

Are you tall? In which case these aren't the world's best idea (even with the roof bubble so I hear)

The CAV was built by that tv prog a couple of years ago (dream machines?) and given away as a prize:

Looked very nice.

Suggest you try the GT40 forums:

cheers

Hmmm prebuilt kits are like women. You never know whats underneath the shiny surface, and if someone else is getting rid of one theres usually a good reason. ......?too cynical?

I think I'm fairly safe here as I doubt many women read the Kit section.

In EVO's (rather unhelpful) feature of GT40's, it mentions the DAX kit as unpopular, why is this?

From what I understand the Dax was designed with completely wrong suspension/geometry. Also instead of lowering the floor pan and adjusting bulkheads to accomodate a wider/taller selection of drivers, Dax did the budget option of chopping the roof off, and raising it a few inches. So you are stuck with a car that looks completely wrong proportion-wise and handles crap.
